Position: Broadcast Engineer Internship
SCVTV internship opportunities provide undergraduate\ students with hands-on experience in broadcast engineering for the news & TV production industry.
The Intern will have the opportunity to work alongside a broadcast engineer and understand how a broadcast facility is built, maintained and operated.
They will learn video and audio signal paths and how all the equipment interfaces to one another. They will learn how to operate all the studio equipment in a true production environment. Build video and audio cables and construct broadcast systems.
SCVTV interns must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress, dynamic environment. Staff and interns must have a positive attitude with a willingness to be self-starting and motivated.

The responsibilities of interns at SCVTV include, but are not limited to:
SCVTV operates the community's Media Center, where SCVTV staff members and volunteers generate original, hyper-local content for the channel. The SCVTV Media Center is the central hub for local businesses, schools and local organizations to connect with their target audience.
In addition to the SCVTV.com video site, our online news center, SCVNews.com, provides local breaking news, sports, business, entertainment and event coverage, and more. SCVTV owns and operates SCVHistory.com, which is the community's history archive and online research library; and SCVTV provides CougarNews.com for the COC Media Arts Department. Together, the SCVTV websites form the largest local multimedia footprint in the Santa Clarita Valley.
SCVTV is the 501c3 nonprofit community service organization that operates the Santa Clarita Valley’s public television channel under contract with the City of Santa Clarita, Santa Clarita Community College District (College of the Canyons), the William S. Hart Union High School District and the Saugus, Newhall, Sulphur Springs and Castaic school districts.
